Adil Najam’s Pakistan

With Iqbal Bano’s powerful and famous rendition of Faiz’s nazm ‘ham dekheNge’ in the background, the video offers a window into Pakistan’s history through sounds and images. It also tells us that the claims by military strongmen to restore democracy to the people are neither new nor credible. There are some pertinent audio clips by Faiz Ahmed Faiz interspersed as well.
Overall, a job well done.
