Ji Chahatha hai Falak pe Jaa’oon
Sooraj ko ghuroob se Bachaoon

Bus mera chale jo gardhishon per
Dhin ko bhi Chaand naa Bujhaoon

Imkaan pe is qadhar yaqee’n hai
Sehra’on mein beej daal aaoon

Mein Shab ke Musafiro ki Khathir
Mashal na milay tho Ghar Jalaoon

Ye bhi tho Nemaz ki Qazaa hai
Jo rooth gaye hai unhe manaoon?

Khudh ko tho Nadeem aazmaaya
Ab mer kay Khudha ko aazmaaoon!

Aap ne haq adaa kar diya. Aboud Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi, I heard from my childhood that he was a great poet but had hardly heard or read of him.
Though I never had Urdu as a subject in school, I often saw the Urdu text books here and there. Often I found one or two ghazals in the Urdu text by him. That was hardly an introduction.
In my teenage I got addicted to Urdu digests like Huma, Aalami Digest, Sadaha Rang, the now defunct Chahaar Rang, Hazaar Rang, Talaash and other Pak digests. So read quite a lot of his stories. However, the poet ANQ was discovered by me quite late. He was like the ones we knew were great but their best TaKhliiqaat were not known to us. Of course, some asha’ar we remembered.

Thank you Adil saahab. I discovered your Pakistaniat blog yesterday while looking for posts on Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi. Just now, I read Sabahat bhai’s introdcution to you.

All I can say it that more your tribe increase!
