Weekly Bollywood: Pyar Ke Liye Char Din

by Mohib on July 9, 2006

From a very forgettable movie, I just love this song. Its lyrics are meaningful (for a change in contemporary Bollywood), music is soothing (by Jatin-Lalit, who else?), beautiful locales and then there is that Kajol factor.

Enjoy!

I had never heard this song before, but liked it. I also found out that the lyricist was Anand Bakshi, who has written some memorable songs in the past (as well as forgettable ones :) ). This was one of his last few films, I would think and the meaningfulness of the lyrics hark back to at least 2 decades before the film’s time.

Thanks for sharing this.

@ Girish

Yes, Anand Bakshi indeed. Who could ever forget Karishma Kapur gyrating to ’sexy sexy sexy mujhe log boleN’? Late 80s and early 90s were the worst years for Bollywood.

Welcome to the blog and thanks for your comment.

That is the best thing about internet, isn’t it?

For your kind information Mr Mohib. ‘Sexy sexy mujhe’ is not written by Anand Bakshi. It has been penned by Indeevar. Anand Bakshi has written some of the finest songs hindi films have ever witness like Kuch toh log kahenge, Solha baras ki, Zindagi ke safar mein guzar jate hain, Banne chahe dushman zamana hamara, Main shayar badnaam, Chitti aayi hai just to name a few. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest lyricist of all time.
