Taskeen-E-Dil-E-Mehzoo Na Hui..

This was brought into limelight in Guru Dutt’s memorable movie “Pyasa” where an older gentleman recites this Ghazal by Majaaz (who hopelessly died alone in a Tavern in Lucknow). Jagjit Singh has given beautiful music to it and made it a memorable number.

25.) Sham-e-Gham Kuch..

This is by Firaq Gorakhpuri sahab. Beautifully rendered by Vinod Sehgal. I just found the 2 DVD set of this memorable show and it took me back to my childhood. Kudos to Sardar Ali Jafri sahab for the great show.
